caught thought

first drawing of the new year! based on my experience with scatterbrained-ness and forgetfulness

thoughts at all stages of conception constantly whizz around and ricochet off one another and the walls of my brain, each one demanding complete attention to be realized or shuttled to memory. spooked and hunted by my consciousness like rabbits in a dark forest. (except for that one song my brain has decided to dj for an unknown length of time. the day i drew this, it was mulberry by andrew montana)

my original idea was to have many rabbits haphazardly sprawling in and from her mind, but it just wasn’t turning out. then I saw a photo of an eastern cottontail perched, ready to spring, and looking into the lens. caught, but only for a moment. the worst kind of thought
