tending the livestock

an idealized celebration of myself and my animals birdy, steve, and jamie (L->R) as we were this summer in a fantastical landscape inspired by our backyard: virginia creeper, pokeweed, and yellow woodsorrel. the animals are pokeberry- and grass-stained from playing outside all day, and i have paint stains on my hands and bruises on my legs. i unintentionally placed my cat, steve, at the center of attention, where he demands to be, so thanks to my subconscious for the accurate depiction.
